Our Saturday

Once again we are able to keep up with this nice routine!
Repeating the previous scones recipe, we had a tasty batch of scones for breakfast...

Someone was pretty happy with that!

And so was mummy!

We then went out, afterwards for our regular walk. Once again we had the company of our precious wooden friend, the little cow! This is definitely a favourite toy of his, we never dreamed to go for a walk without it....

He was given this little cow as a birthday gift last year. I don't remember who it was who gave him this, but whoever it was, spot on for his birthday gift! This little cow soon conquered his little heart, and it was a great help for his first steps.... He loves to walk it around!

You can see this a favourite of his, as it is so worn out already.... !

Our Saturday!

I am so pleased with our little weekend routine! We now have an established weekend routine... Our Saturday mornings start with some baking... Followed by a delicious breakfast, fruit of our previous hard work! We then head out to a walk by the near park... Feed the swans and the ducks is a mandatory stop... and then we walk and enjoy the sightseeing, which is just beautiful. River Itchen is just stunning really. On Sunday we go to the city centre and enjoy the local playground. This routine is working so well for us, we are able to have such enjoyable family time! So, lets describe our Saturday then...:

We started by baking pancakes...! Again the little one had so much fun helping me out!

He had a blast using the whisk! The end result was just delicious....:

Just yummie!

I already posted a while back a picture of little one and his walking cow... He absolutely loves to walk the little cow! He is so happy and cute while at it... Hw waves bey bey to every walker by, and they just laugh out loud and wave back at him... We spent hours just walking the little cow...:

We did somehow managed to draw his attention to the river and swans... And then we fed the swans, he loved it too!

How was your Saturday?

My Sunday Photo || {The Ordinary Moments}

I never grow tired to admire my baby's little features, as his hands.
I could observe them, study them all day, and theres always a new detail, something new. It's not only about my baby growing, as his hands get just a little bit larger, and how fast this is happening. It's about a new thing that he is able to do, some recent ability that he has learned. Theres always a novelty to be surprised, or not at all, every time.
As the dexterity as he holds his crayons, as he draws... Or the security on his hold as he brings me a glass.
His ability to learn and evolve never ceases to amaze me.
So I never will, ever would grow tired to admire my baby...

Saturday @ Bournemouth

We had a lovely Saturday during the past bank holiday weekend... The weather was simply amazing so we went to Bournemouth and enjoyed the sun properly by the seaside...

Nana gave cute baby boy a little set, with a little red shovel, salmon rake and a cupcake mould. We had lots of fun playing with those...trying to mould cupcake sand forms...!

baby sand funHe had lots of fun, just playing with the set and the sand.... I do believe though that the shovel and the rake were not necessary at all for some sand fun,...  as  the sand was more that enough....! He still loves just to feel it trough his little fingers...

We also went for a walk by the sea...

Not too long now until he is able to walk all by himself... he is becoming more confident each day.
I love these days...
How about you, did you have much fun this past weekend?

Baby & Me: Indoor fun, Lego Time!

This past couple days my baby has been under the weather.
He was running a bit of fever during this weekend, and only today I feel he got better.
So, we couldn´t have our regular walk, play at the playground or hit the park. This past weekend was all about indoor play... And try to survive ... an entertain a not very happy toddler.

So we had to keep him entertained when he was feeling better and wanting to play. He has tons of toys, I am so astonished at how many toys he has in just less than 1 and half years!
He has some favourites, and I have to admit that I have lots of fun with him and.... Lego!

Some months ago we bought him a small table so that he could play there...
I think he feels a bit more grown up when sitting on his little chair and playing over the table.

I am a big fan of Lego play, really. Besides being very fun to play with, babies are also training his skills, fine motor skills and cognitive skills as they are also developing eye-hand coordination.

So I play Lego with him every time possible... And that would keep him entertained for a couple of hours.

I could be looking at him playing a whole day and would never grow bored. I watch him learning new skills all the time... The way he mixes the blocks, or used the little animals... Or you know just throwing the blocks out the box and spreading those on the carpet...its such an imaginative play either way!

Yes, I know. We have a big fan of Lego play here!

What do you do play with for some indoor fun?
Let me know all about it so I can try it with my lo too!
